Orientation

New Student Orientation 2013 runs from Tuesday, August 27, 2013 (move-in day) through Monday, September 2, 2013.  Classes begin on Tuesday, September 3, 2013.

The events planned for your first few days at Vassar will familiarize you with some important aspects of college life. Some events are intended for all new students, while others address specific needs and interests. We encourage you to see these events as opportunities to meet new people and learn more about your new home.

New Student Orientation is the first component of the Vassar First Year, a series of events meant to introduce new students to Vassar College.  A mix of academic events, cultural happenings and discussions about campus issues, the programs are designed to get students talking about the big ideas they face in their scholarship and their social life on campus.

Note: A printed version of the schedule will be provided to every student on arrival.
